A Swiss watchmaker named Ulysse Nardin is building a smartphone named the Chairman. The Chairman is a phone that uses kinetic energy to keep it’s self powered.
The phone harvests it’s needed energy from motion. The motion is converted in to electrical power which if moved around enough can keep it powered. There are no details just yet on the technical specs like what processor it will have built in, what type of screen and how big the screen is. Nor is there any information on if it will be Windows Mobile based or some other OS. What we do know is that it’s a very limited edition phone with only 1846 being made. With that in mind we can assume that it’s going to be rather pricey too.
