Microsoft laptop cooling pad

Whatever might be the reason, it seems that Microsoft took a very weird decision (some would say). They think that it’s time for the company to enter the realm of cooling pads, even if these are very difficult times for everyone, and some would consider it a bad idea. But maybe this is a desperate measure, I don’t know. Or they just saw how well cooling pads are selling these days, so they wanted to have this product in their portofolio.

I don’t keep abreast of what happens with the world of cooling pads, as it never was a subject of my interest, but what I can say is that, when talking about Microsoft, everyone puts the expectations very high. This means that Microsoft should be very careful when releasing a new product, because it would be very easy for them to fail, as their name is too powerful, for people to accept mid-entry devices.

Called the Notebook Cooling Base, is comes with an integrated fan and a cooling channel which are aimed at preventing overheating. The pad is powered by a USB and measures no more than 1.16 inches in thickness. In addition, there’s a cable management clip, just in case you need one.

Sometimes is better late than never and I agree, but this would have applied to this situation if the laptop cooling pad designed by Microsoft had been ground-breaking. Anyway, prepare yourselves for the pad to be released sometimes in July, in two color versions, black and white, under a price of $30.
